American Diabetes Association

    

     This Friday I received a package in the mail from "American Diabetes Association". I have to be honest and say I am not sure how I recieved it or why, but diabetes does run in one side of my family. (Not exactly sure which side.) I am just hoping I didn't get the gene. It's not an ideal lifestyle & yes I said life style. Diabetes requires some serious adjustments and managing your levels of blood sugar whether they be too high or too low is the trick.

   Having a little bit of knowledge of the topic is enough to make me write about it. It's not fun, but with this box filled with goodies you can change and balance your diet it a fun, positive and healthy way. 

    Being I don't have diabetes, I will be donating this package. I opened it, it's got a set of card games with a timer, pamphlets about the diabetes disease itself, self awareness and positive ways to cope.

I've been using an app in both the Android Market & Apple Store called #Viggle. 

I don't watch too much TV, but when I do I'm using #HULU & catching up on my shows. All you have to do it record a few seconds of a movie, show or song and you automatically attain points! You may redeem however many points are available to redeem for your prize. 

There aren't too many good prizes under 25,000, but earning points is too easy to be disappointed. 

Today is the first time redeemed my points and I would and will say it was worth it and will be doing it every month. I  redeemed 7,500 viggle points for a $5.00  donation to #AmericanRedCross. Every penny counts. 

   I am blood type O- and will also be donating this month or next month! 

"The Walking Dead" #Withdrawal

It's begun. I don't know how to put it, there's something that just pulls you in. You start off with a man of authority who wakes up in the beginning of what we believe is a zombie "WALKER" apocalypse. Ripped away from his family and reunites only to find out his best friend, (Shane) is trying to take his place in his family... The show not only gets you emotional attached, it also pulls out the demons in you. Instead of only wanting the characters to kill the walkers, you want to kill characters who are ether doing twister and corripted things, you want useless liabilities off and away from your team. Especially when you're rooting for the man in charge (Rick)!!! 

 You grow with the characters each season and each and every finale the directors/writers break our hearts with an original member of the group being killed in a dramatic scenario! 

 At first I wanted Lori gone, I couldn't wait until it happened, but the way she did was heart breaking. Carl practically lost all humanity, if it weren't for Judith who knows how Carl would be.... (?) 

  Then Andrea, after leaving behind Michonne to test waters out with The Governor after several warnings from a friend... Couldn't wait! Again heart breaking. 

  Maggie and Beth's amazing grace of a father, Glens father-in-law... Gone! I can't even say I was heart broken, there are no words. Other than Rick, he was another man to keep the group movin forward and staying positive with his preaches, readings from the bible, knowledge medicine ("The trick is to keep the symptoms under control"). The reason they all were separated!!! :( 

  Beth, Maggie's sister, Hershel's Daughter, Glen's sister-in-law, friend to everyone, singer for all to hear even the walkers, possible girl friend to Daryl Dixon ... She was a huge liability, but she had hope. That's what her father taught her and she kicked that hope into Daryl, explanation of him slowly getting soft on us. GONE!!! I don't believe it was an accident! She was a true friend! 

I've been playing the games since a little after the show came out. I do not play video games, for whatever reason... THEY ANNOY ME! But an RPG that's got a similar storyline and even a few of the same characters as the show brings me to love "his" Playstation. (Giggle)

I don't know what #AMC & #TellTaleGames has done to me, but I am addicted!
